Relevant directly to the manager, the heavy equipment mechanic repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls and maintains a fleet of snow removal trucks.


YOUR MAIN ACTIVITIES
• Ensure the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles running on gasoline or diesel
• Inspect vehicles and equipment according to established preventive maintenance procedures and frequency
• Adjust, repair or replace parts
• Test repaired equipment to ensure it is working properly
• Perform periodic maintenance on mobile equipment
• Carry out necessary repairs on mobile equipment
• Ensure compliance with OHS rules and procedures
• Complete the necessary reports
• Follow up on results
• Contribute through their attitude to creating a favorable climate for teamwork.

THE REQUIRED PROFILE
• Diploma of Specialized Technician in Maintenance of Construction Machinery or Maintenance of heavy machinery and industrial vehicles, or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Advanced French proficiency
• Knowledge of JPRO/Noregon diagnostic program an asset
• Know how to establish a diagnostic procedure
• Inspector certification in preventive maintenance program an asset
• Have a valid class 5 driver's license
• Good knowledge of welding
• Be in good physical condition
• Have a concern for prevention and a passion for diagnosis
• Possess welding skills
• Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic problems
• Ability to work on various types of heavy vehicles
• Ability to give reports and recommendations
• Problem solving ability
• Good priority management
• Be autonomous and resourceful, rigorous, orderly, have attention to detail


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• Salary of $25/h
• Fixed-term, full-time contract (40 hours/week)
