Job Description Blown plastic film extrusion operator assistant

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Assistant Extrusion Operator is responsible for supporting the operation of the extrusion production line and delivering quality film that meets order book specifications and sanitary safety required by the industry waste bags and film converters. The Assistant Extrusion Operator is also responsible for the general cleanliness of the extrusion production work area.
Your main activities
• Assist in the operation of lines according to pre-established work methods and directives
• Make adjustments to machine settings during bag size change minimizing the time required while ensuring product specifications are maintained
• Pack the bags in boxes
• Visual and physical quality checks
• Keep the workstation and the machine clean
• Perform machine maintenance and work to reduce scrap
• Daily report on activity results for the shift
• Ensure the quality of the finished product while being concerned about workplace safety
• Ensure the cleanliness of the workplace
• Participate in repairs and preventive maintenance with the maintenance team
• Suggest ideas for improvement and cost reduction

• Good level in written and spoken French
• A degree in the plastics industry is an asset.
• You are punctual and a reliable person
• You have good manual skills and good physical capacity (ability to stand for a long time and lift up to 30 lbs)
• You are versatile, take initiatives and demonstrate ingenuity and team spirit.
• Forklift driving is an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
• Salary: $20 / hour
• Schedule: 40 hours per week.
• Number of hours: 12 hours on the night shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), ½ weekend.
