Job Description A Quebec company operating internationally and specializing in the manufacture of trucks for collecting waste and recyclable materials, is looking for a painter to expand its team.

As a painter, you will be responsible for painting the parts using powder equipment. You will work alternately with the position of sandblasting attendant.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Preparation of painting equipment
oCheck whether the boiler contains enough paint
oPut paint in the boiler if necessary
• Painting operation
oPut on the paint mask
oAdjust the gun automatically
o Enter figures for the amount of paint and the size of the spray
o Hang the pieces
oApply the paint using the spray gun
oPass over the corners of the room
o Make the flat surfaces
o Make sure you have paint all over the room
• Drying operation
o Hang the painted parts in the oven
o Take the parts out of the oven when the bell rings
oLet cool
oRemove the caps
o Unhook the coins
oInstall the parts on the shelving with the plans
• Maintenance of the paint mask
oCheck if the filters are clogged
oChange filters
• Maintenance of the paint chamber
o Pulse the filters
o Collect the powder residues
• Oven maintenance
oClean the oven
• Preparation of parts with sandblasting
o Check if there is sand in the machine
o Make sure you have enough parts to sand to avoid constant interruptions in the operation
oSuspend the parts
o Proceed with manual sandblasting
oClean the room
oPass the air blast to remove residues
o Perform sandblasting
oPlace caps on the parts
• Machine maintenance
oClean the windows
o Make repairs as needed
o Check the compressor oil
o Perform a visual inspection of the doors
oCheck filters
oEmpty the dust collector drawer
oEmpty the dryer container
oClean the windows

o Activate the dust collector vibrator

Working conditions
• Fixed-term contract, renewable
• Evening shift
• Full time, 40 hrs / week
• 4 days / week, Monday to Thursday
• Salary offered: from 20.25 to 22.80 $ per hour
• Evening premium of $ 0.85 per hour
• Unionized position
